Bring a Dream Team together with a shared Vision.

In life you rarely all all the pieces of the puzzle. You have the idea but not the money, the talent but no idea, money but no vision. The question becomes how do you move forward with your vision and enlist the help of others.

This is my question here today. I want to bring together a team of talented programmers and managers to work on a big project that doesn't quite exist yet how i envision it. It's big, it's complicated, it's no small feat but the need is there.

How do i convince a team to join in the effort and what can i offer to retain them throughout the project. What is a good business model?

The Project: The core is an ERP that goes beyond the basics. The contacts are entered once and available throughout the enterprise, the ticketing system is incorporated, as well as the accounting, stock, maintenance, todo lists, call lists, project management, and admin document tracking, etc...

The idea is to start with the most important features of all these big sections and then on each release improve the feature set while keeping the power under the hood for obscure or rarely used options. The main aspect here is the "fun factor". The UI and the process should be easy and fun for the user as a good would be to allow for an engaging process on behalf of the user while at the same time providing a powerful toolset to the enterprise.

I started building the software in AS3 but it has fallen out of favor and alone i am not able to make enough progress in a realistic fashion.
