How to Create a Hashnode Account and Subdomain
Hashnode is a platform for developers to start blogs of theirs. It allows developers to share their knowledge as well as learn from other developers and still be the owner of their blogs.
Setting up your account
To setup an account on hashnode, visit the hashnode website at hashnode.com and you will be presented with the homepage. Five different icons will be displayed on the page, click on the last icon on the right and then click on sign up.
You will be provided with a list of ways to sign in, choose whichever option suits you better but it would be advisable to sign in with 'Google' for ease.
After clicking on the link, fill in the required fields and your hashnode account is setup and ready to start blogging with.
Setting up a Subdomain
Creating a subdomain is a great way to branch out of hashnode a little into your own personal blog.
After signing in into your hashnode account, you could choose to either setup your subdomain immediately or not. Either way, the following are the steps to follow to setup a hashnode subdomain:
- Click on account settings
- Input your personal site name e.g olawumihealthblog
- Click on the ‘next’ button
- On the next page, type in your subdomain name .hashnode.dev After following all the listed steps above, you have successfully setup your hashnode subdomain for a hashnode blog.
