Hypothetical - space communication, how?

Assuming that faster than light travel can be achieved - how would faster than light communication be achieved?
Sending a physical object faster than light seems easier than actually communicating faster than light.
I ask because I think the delay between Earth and the sun is about 7.5 minutes this will grow with distance and thus how would we communicate effectively.
