What are the options for a client MVC framework if you don't want to go with Angular 1.4 or 2.0 ?

Are there frameworks more suited for making real time apps ? How do you compare using Backbone with node and meteor with react ?

To all those who gave their inputs, thank you. Those who differ in opinion about angular 1.4 and are suggesting upgrades and works-arounds on mixing 1.4 and 2.0, your points are valid and appreciated. However, I like to believe that having options like react, vue etc, it seems like an overkill to try to make do with the complexities that Angular 1.4 now entails. Be it using the upgrades or mixing it with 2.0. Also, there can never be a slow bridge built from 1.4 to 2.0 because the philosophy of 2.0 is different i.e. Componentization. So I request you not to hope for that. For some one starting a project today, I would never advise to 'work with it' and hope for perfect upgrades to give equal performance as other frameworks now coming up have to offer. If that was the case we wouldn't have Angular 2.0 launched in a breaking leap.

Now, my post is more intended to explore options than to bash Angular 1.4. So, what are your thoughts on -

Meteor+ React ? Node + Backbone ? Node + Vue?
