What coding language do you use and what do you usually program with it?

Sorry for the very broad question, I'm very new to coding and would like to see who uses what types of code, and what they usually use it for.

I have lots of ideas that I make into spreadsheets - everything from puzzles, to sports betting arbitrage, finance and tax calculations. But I would like to automate lots of my creations. Just trying to get a feel for what's out there and what it's commonly used for.
