What do you think of the future of Xamarin?

I'm talking about mobile development here. Xamarin (premium) had a little bit of advantage over PhoneGap, but with React Native (free) introduced last year, could this be a major issue for Xamarin? As open-source project React Native will get more community support over time and stability.
