Blockchain from a Web 3.0 context is not just for sharing monetary incentives - it is the underlying trust mechanism to enable a shared state between the underlying nodes. This makes possible the creation of a universal virtual machine like Ethereum.
This is true! However in my opinion the normal use case of blockchain should be finance - it is incredibly expensive and just unfeasible for most other projects. There are some other purposes, things that have to be highly secure like identification, and I'll probably write a separate article about those soon
Enthusiastic article about why web3 matters for me as a developer, Thanks
