Thanks for the mention, Alexandre. By the way, to test my scripts I use Windows Sandbox, what do you use?
Interesting I thought of using Windows Sandbox but I did not know if it works to configure windows features like WSL, containers... Does it ? I should use Windows Sandbox next time because your approach seems better that what I did : reset an old laptop each time I wanted to try the complete setup 馃槂
It was quite some time ago, so I am not absolutely sure WSL and containers worked in the Sandbox as it is already a virtual machine...
Hey there! I just read your post and found it to be quite informative. I really appreciate the effort you put into automating the setup process for your Windows laptop. However, I noticed that you didn't mention anything about laptop repair. As someone who has had to deal with laptop issues before, I think it would be a great idea to include some tips or resources for cellphone repair in your post. After all, having a smoothly functioning cellphone is just as important as having an easy setup process. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us!
Great article! Automating the setup of a developer's Windows laptop is a game-changer in terms of productivity and efficiency. Your step-by-step guide provides valuable insights and resources for anyone looking to streamline their setup process. As a developer, I appreciate the emphasis on customization and using tools like Chocolatey and Boxstarter. The tips and recommendations you've shared are incredibly useful. If you're in the market for a new laptop, I suggest exploring a local computer shop or reputable online retailer specializing in hardware for developers. Look for shops with good customer reviews, a wide selection of laptops, and competitive prices. Keep up the great work!
