Building Back-End State Machines with XState

Hey Musadiq Peerzada Terrific article, I truly appreciate you taking the time to write it. I'm intrigued about the application of Xstate in backend development. However, I'm wondering how to manage state persistence to the database and handle the state machine over multiple requests? Could you shed some light on these topics?

So I assume that each order would be its own state machine ?

I feel from a foundational standpoint, to understand how to maintain state between load balanced or restarting of a service would be a great follow up article ;)
