First, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the time and effort you have invested in writing such an insightful post. I have a question about choosing a major. Do I need to complete three courses from all the seven sectors? Also, if I choose a course that has fewer students enrolled, how will that affect my ability to take it? Is there a way to still enroll in the course even if the enrollment is low?

No, you must complete three courses within a specific sector for it to count as your major. If there are fewer students enrolled in a course, the department may allow it to be taken as a "self-study" course. This means there won’t be official classes, but a faculty member will supervise, provide resources, and guide your learning independently. The assigned faculty member will arrange a time for you to take the midterm and final exams in their office. Contact the department to see if they approve this arrangement for the course.
