Sorry, but I don't agree with you. If you have AI tools at your disposal and are able to deliver the intended solution using these tools, increase developer productivity, and save costs for your company, it should not be an issue.

If AI is utilized by individuals with limited experience, such as junior developers, it may contribute to increased technical debt in the project they are working on, which could ultimately harm the company's productivity in the long term.

Rick In the near future, AI will not remain in its current form; it will advance. The present issue of technical debt will no longer be a problem, as AI will likely be able to resolve it with ease.

Raj Darshan Pachori AI will be a technical debt itself. The job of many developers will be fixing AI code generated because people will just copy and paste code without understanding what they are doing.

Rick that may be true for now however AI tools will improve over the period and these tools in future would be able to detect the technical debts and resolve by itself. The speed with which GenAI is evolving, it won't take long for AI tools to resolve this issue of technical debt.
