These practices involves mostly everything from color theory, rewarding micro interactions, stunning & minimal visuals. And this is the major factor to hook to audience to the product. The major plus factor is the ease of discoverability and simple messaging through the interactions. Usually, the audience for these kind of products is mostly the one's who are highly time concerned and 18+ of age groups. Success for these kind of products like INSTAGRAM is purely based on the freedom to get back to your personalized world of interests anytime you want to. It's all about a design with a satisfaction factor of showing and seeing the world at your comfort zone of time. It's always there what you have and want to have. Other features like quality photos, filters etc surely gives an extra edge to the platform like INSTAGRAM. II. Shareable design : This kinda design has surely disrupted the world and has proved that anything is possible. There is always a possibility to create something incredible without the known. It has uncovered a natural truth about design that there is a lot more in design that what we have gotten so far. This type of design disrupts nearly all the general principles of design in terms of usability, aesthetics and engagement. In terms of UI, SNAPCHAT is surely not an example to give. But the major factor that why its still that large and hooked to the millennials is because of its emotional strength of urgency over the design principles. SNAPCHAT's key feature of disappearing images withing the blink of an eye triggers a strong urgency emotion in the users. Having something in front of you and only for a short time to consume it makes it a "now or never" task for the audience. To feed the hunger of missing anything cool, interesting or something is what push us to take immediate action.
