Congratulations, Trecia Kat 🎉
Congrats 🎊 Trecia on overcome everything and getting to the point u r right now , I'm really happy for u I just read the story and it's so inspiring, I was something that I really needed to read at this point in my life.
I'm haveing some issues with either I continue Uni or not or do I listen to my parent and persu medicine Even though it used to be my dream but now I I'm enjoying being a developer
Also I can relate to the guilt thing that u mentioned in the final thought It is real hard to deal with, but I know both of u will be able to overcome it one day
I think I talked alot 😁 I will stop here.
GOOD LUCK Tercia with all my heart ❤️❤️❤️
This means so much to me, Alaa!!!! I wish you the best too, you know.

This just got me out of bed, thank you Trecia🙏
Congratulations, Trecia 🎉
Your story is quite inspiring 💪
Wow! You are a winner. Your story is really inspiring. Best part is you admit you still have issues.
I don't know why your story helped this much but it did.
I, much like you, started to learn coding but left it for 6 months. Now I have been doing it consistently for 15 days (not much but quite a lot for me 😁😁😁).
I hope you build your rome.
One step at a time.
Thank you and yes, I will take it one step at a time.
I'm glad it helps you. I have issues that don't go away but I live use them as motivational, sometimes 😅
I wish you the best. May I reac your success story soon too.
This is amazing! Congrats! I hope to one day be able to find a job myself as a self taught developer.
I believe you will, my friend. Just connect with the right people and the rest shall take its place.
Connecting with others is the hardest part for me. But I won't give up 🤗Trecia Kat
you are an amazing Trecia, been following you since august last year. You have been very consistent and I must say you don't need to feel like am an impostor because you are not. As a matter a fact you are very capable, I believe you are. You have made up for not having a college degree with your consistency, hard work, and determination. This is the first of many wins trust me 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀.
Hi Trecia, thank you, your whole story encouraged me because my situation is as you were feeling when you started, I'm also a college dropper and now learning front end "one step at a time"
Hey Mohd,
You can make it.
What an amazing story, Trecia. You've really preserved through a lot of tough situations and emerged victorious at the end. I'm happy for you and also inspired that I will definitely announce the same in no distant time. All the best on your new role, Trecia. ⭐️
Hey Trecia, I am exactly feeling the same way as you were right now. Imposter syndrome, feeling guilty if I watch some tv shows or something, self doubt, not trusting my process. All these things just suppress my motivation and I find it very hard to stay consistent. But your story really changed my perspective on how I should work on myself and just keep pushing myself....
Thank you so much...
And here I was, browsing the topics section, clicked on a random articles, saying “Self taught developer……”
Clicked on it coz I had nothing more interesting on the page. And boy, was I hooked?? I never read a blog with this much enthusiasm and excitement.
It felt as though I am reading my own story. Yes, I am also in the process of learning Web Development, and Thank you soo much, for writing this.
This has motivated me the most out of all the other sources I have been through so far.
Thank you!
I am so proud of you that you have come this far. Of course, I admire your CSS arts!
My journey is also somewhat rough and tough like you. I can relate to this.
All the best for your journey ahead 💖
Hey Trecia,
This is a great story and motivation for me too.
I am a self-taught dev too, and I landed an internship to work as a Frontend intern too that runs for three months.
I know you'll hack it because of your zeal. I hope I do too. All the best.
Congrats Trecia, am segun from Nigeria your tech journey really inspire me, could you be my mentor (someone I would be able to relate and learn from). Thanks, if you can help, reply me so I can send a message on Twitter.
This is so inspiring Trecia ❤️ I'm so proud of you!!!

Thank you, Abdulhakim :)
Congratulations, Trecia! What an inspiring story!
Thank you so much!
This is inspiring to a beginner like me
Stay encouraged, my friend.
Just one question.
I see most self taught developers online are web developers & they go to freecodecamp & then JS & all that.
I haven't chosen my niche yet & I am not a part of freecodecamp. I only solve programming exercises I find online each day. So will I not be successful? Or even if I do, is it going to come after a LOT of time?
Thanks for reading my question.

Well... we are different for sure
It depends on what you are good at and if you choose to advertise your speciality to grow your online presence.
I can't say you will not be successful or not. Its all on you.
Your story is one of a kind Trecia. Keep going!
Congrats on landing your role! 🥳
Thank you, Nick!!! Much appreciated :)
This is nice and encouraging 👍
What an inspiring story, Trecia Kats?
I'm humbled by your authenticity and integrity.
Probably your imposter syndrome and anxieties are both symptoms of your strengths.

Amazing! Really happy for you.
I can relate to the path you chose of landing a job as a self-taught dev. My father had to endure a lot of people saying "get him into a university", "this cannot work in our country" etc.
Thanks for putting your story out. We need a lot more of these.
When You talked..About Your Challenges.. I Had A Déjà vu Moment...
As From Past Couple Of Months I Am Also Struggling From These Problems....

Congratulation, Trecia Kat ! I'm actually new here in hashnode, and your blog is the first one I read!
I graduate in Information Technology, but I didn't practice it until now. But your blog gave me the motivation to continue what I wanted to pursue!
Please continue being an inspiration!
I must admit that what really captivated me the most from the beginning of the post was the humility and sense of self-overcoming.
Amazing how you started learning with just a cell phone and kept moving forward, making decisions that you found risky and yet, you kept going. Congratulations and I only hope that everything works out for the best for you. 👏
Thank you so much, Daniel
