About Me

I love coding. It's something that captured my attention since I started hacking away at my first computer, back when I was 8 years old, but I didn't really have a chance to start learning seriously until many years later, as a teenager. Back then I started making some small programs for personal use, and after "only" 10 years I scored my first job as a junior developer in a small company. They taught me how to make iOS and Android apps, and I started to understand, little by little, what do those strange terms like "code sustainability" and "software architecture" mean. I never studied Computer Science. I had to learn everything I know about programming outside of the regulated path, and maybe that's why I love the idea of making coding accessible to everyone. I'm convinced that, in the near future, everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) will need to know a little bit of programming, just like everybody needs to know a little bit of English nowadays. In my current company I also teach Android development, and I like to think that programming (and anything that can be taught and learnt) can and must be easy, fun and rewarding. I love coding, but I also love teaching how to code, and making knowledge accessible to anybody that wants to learn. My goal with this blog is to fill it with tutorials, tips and information, so that anyone can get a computer and a smartphone and create whatever crosses their head, be is something useful that doesn't yet exist, some light entertainment for their loved ones, or the app that's destined to change the world. If I can make just one person give a chance to programming thanks to what I write here, it'll be more than worth it.
