About Me

Brittany is a 20 something year old and a University of North Texas alumna. she got her first job at 15 as a Secretary for D-MARS.COM, Houston’s only Black Business Journal.

In addition, she served as a Junior Marketing Director for Cherie on Top Youth Community center in 2009 as a high school student. Since that experience, she has taken off, taking on opportunities that would help her grow creatively and professionally.

In college, she served as the NAACP President of UNT and State Secretary for the Youth and College Division-leading her chapter from out of compliance, to chapter of the year taking home three awards. In addition, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a Senator for the Student Government Association, writing for the Tempest, Results Fellow alumni + Poverty Expert, and a Young People For alumni.

Brittany launched a blog in 2015, titled, “Liberal Arts Diva.” This is when she reached out to Arianna Huffington for a chance to be a contributor on the Huffington Post. Her first piece was inspired by the First Donald Trump Election in 2017 and got over 10,000 views/share in a week.

In 2017 Brittany moved to Washington, DC for two and a half years to begin her career in communications, and landed back in her hometown in 2020. She has a Bachelors of Science in Integrative Studies: Sociology, Social Sciences, and International Studies and is an active member of community-minded organizations.

With the experience of an organized administrative superstar, creative communications, digital marketing wiz, and a social butterfly, she had a deep desire to thrive. Now she’s pursuing a career in software engineering.

Brittany loves the idea of, life and legacy,. Brittany is a currently a social studies teacher, an auntie, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. At the end of the day, in her eyes, happiness is only a dance floor and a glass of wine away.
