I'm Russell, a passionate software engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Throughout my career, I've developed a deep understanding of both monolithic and microservice-oriented architectures, allowing me to build robust and scalable applications. My expertise spans full-stack web development, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning, which enables me to tackle a wide range of projects.

I'm proficient in React, Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, NextJS, OpenAPI, GraphQL, SQL, Firebase, and MongoDB. I've had the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including building e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, and WordPress sites. My work on a Full Stack Web Development Capstone project is a testament to my ability to lead a team in developing a microservices-based application, where we achieved around 90% code coverage through automated testing.

I've had the privilege of leading UI teams and driving full-stack development efforts in several collaborative projects. My involvement in initiatives like Tech4Good's Annota and ExploreCareers, as well as BluePrint's Native Animal Rescue, has been particularly rewarding. Additionally, I've gained experience in cloud-based machine learning infrastructure, applying deep learning methods to image classification and natural language processing.

Beyond my technical skills, I've been actively involved in the tech community. I served as an Events Coordinator and Social Media Manager for the ACM chapter at UCSC, organized hackathons, and promoted chess on campus as a Chess.com Student Ambassador. I also enjoyed helping fellow students as a Student Ambassador for Headstarter, guiding them in their career journeys.

During my time at PerfectlySnug, I utilized tools like Google Analytics to monitor and optimize website performance, ensuring a smooth user experience. I love continuous learning and thrive in collaborative environments, where I can contribute to group projects and drive innovation.
