I am about to purchase the hackabox $400 limited deal and this sort of motivator is exactly what I needed.
Since I am a noob, my plan will be to attempt one module a week. There are 28 modules for the pen test path so I should be done with that one by end of the year.
This should also be in time for the black friday special that Offsec will hopefully be having when I will then purchase the 90 day course.
