An Experiment in getting things done

Console.Writeline("Hello World")

I have been a software developer and programmer since 1985 when my 5th grade teacher taught us basic on our Apple IIe computers. I turned professional in 1996 when I received my first paycheck for writing software. In 1999 it became my full time job.

Ever since, I have made it a personal goal to continuing learning, staying up to date and expanding my knowledge and skill set. Over the years I have tried many ways to stay organized; some have been more successful than others.

This blog is my new experiment of keeping organized, learning through example and talking to future me. Along the way I hope to leave a set of instructions and lessons that I can refer back to in the future. It will serve to document my progress and help solidify my own personal growth. Hopefully I will learn a lot from and about myself. If I’m lucky, someone else might gleam a thing or two as well.

Most likely, i’ll be the only one who ever reads this post. So hey future me! I hope you’re reading this from a more educated and enlightened mindset. Don’t be too harsh on past you. You only know what you know. You don’t know what you don’t know.
