Elixir career advice

I had been offered a position as Elixir developer .. I am an experienced Python developer, I really like Python and I was not planning to switch to another language, but the new position is also interesting and challenging for me.

The point is, since Elixir is still a "young" language, and has a small community compared to python, I am afraid that the new position won't add much to me, and will eventually decrease my value in the market as a developer. I am also afraid to forget python :) Appreciate your advice :)
