First Entry
Hi everyone!
My name is Vanity Espinosa and I recently joined the HashNode community because I love that this site focuses on software development while retaining some aspects of social media (like Twitter). To have a place where developers can congregate and help each other on their technological journeys is a great way to make our community more open and inclusive. It was a no-brainer for me to join.
Here is a little bit about myself:
I discovered software development while attending college and pursuing a degree in Anthropology.
I am a 27 year old Mexican-American woman.
I am largely self-taught. I took a couple of CS classes at the University of California - Irvine and had planned to minor in Information and Technology.
I dropped out of college due to a variety of reasons. But I am currently trying to earn my Associates at Irvine Valley College.
I currently work as a Software Developer Contractor, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 as my main tool of development.
Right now, I am aiming to become a Full-Stack Developer.
The great thing about being a part of the software development community is that anyone can get into it so long as they have the tenacity and a love of learning. As a self-described perpetual learner, software development is a career that requires you to constantly learn which I love. To be stagnant is to die a slow and painful death, especially so in this industry.
I hope to be active on this site, to record the things that I learn every day or just talk about the issues I have as I continue my journey to becoming a Full-Stack Developer. Thanks for getting to know me!
Best, Vanity Espinosa
