I am thinking about learning a backend language? Any Advice?

I have spent a lot of time with javascript, so node.js is an option, also I like Python+Django <3

But the main problem is, in India especially in Kolkata 10 out 9 companies have a goddamn obsession with PHP.

Even if I search NodeJS or Django for backend development, searches come up with PHP.

Neither a PHP ranter and not an experience pro dev but seriously compared to Python or Javascript why PHP syntaxes are so messy?

What should I do, go with PHP then Laravel? or NodeJS or Python w/Django.
