Dear reader,
Since you’re here reading this article, you may be asking yourself these questions: “what is HNG internship?”, “where is it located at ?”, “what’s the purpose of the internship ?”, “when was it introduced ?”, and so on and so forth. But if you’re already a developer with an eye out for internships, you must've heard of the internship. In simple terms, I’d say HNG Internship is a long running, large scale virtual internship for people learning to code and design. It creates a virtual work environment for participants. It is fast paced and challenging, and helps people learn how to work in teams, deal with pressure and quickly expand their knowledge. To find out more about them or enroll please do check:(internship.zuri.team). The best news about this internship is anyone can apply, the intership itself focuses on participants with prior experience either by going through the training phase, or self learning. However, if you have no prior experience, you are still encouraged to apply because you will definitely learn a lot from the experience. Below are some useful links of the tracks available in the internship to help you study and get ready:
UI/UX Design
Frontend Development
Backend Development
Mobile Development
You are advised to also learn how to use git, because it is used for coordinating work among programmers collaboratively developing source code during software development.
Much has already been said, so you must be wondering if I am a participant in the said internship program. Of course ! I am a frontend intern at the 8th cycle of HNG internship program. And below are what I want to achieve by the end of 8 weeks internship:
- To gain as much experience as possible.
- To connect with other developers and network.
- To improve my current skills and also learn and adapt new skills.
- To improve my soft skills such as communication and collaboration.
