#Why I'm starting a blog

I launched my hashnode account to start a blog about my java programming because this what's popular now in the tech industry and as software developer, I don't want to feel left behind on this idea of sharing what I know. Technical Blogging has so many benefits which I will soon mention on my next blog post but for now allow let me share with you a little about my experience with programming.

My experience with Programming

  • When I first started programming it was in my 10th grade 2014 in High school with Scratch.

What is Scratch?

Scratch is a block-based visual programming language and website targeted primarily at children 8-16 as an educational tool for coding.

  • Scratch was more simple to understand because it was just dragging and pasting functions on a script to perform low level functions and to build advanced projects required longer blocks of functions to be put together

  • 11th grade(2015) to 12th grade(2016) we did Delphi.

What is Delphi?

Delphi is a software product that uses the Delphi dialect of the Object Pascal programming language and provides an integrated development environment for rapid application development of desktop, mobile, web, and console software, currently developed and maintained by Embarcadero Technologies.

  • Delphi made the venue go from over 30 learners to less than 25 learners, simply because it demanded more attention and practice and a lot people failed to realize that so they scattered to other subjects like geography, arts, history and businessπŸ˜‚
  • College Freshmen Year(2017) - Final college year(2020)

This time stamp in my experience is way more concentrated because this is where I got exposed to so many information and technologies such virtual machine, windows server, Hardware technologies ,Linux OpenSuse, notepad++,DNS servers, SQL,DHCP server, IP addresses ,web servers, tomcat etc.

I personally decided to dive into java and it was around early 2018 and It was not part of my course curriculum, I had seen it all over the internet and that made me take that 1st which was to install the JDK 8 and the IDE. I experienced countless limitations when I 1st started, My sony laptop was messed up but it was still functional enough to install the programs I needed.
