This is how we will start our project if you join me for 45 days this summer in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
I'm looking for a great & adventurous developer who's ready to take on CTO role in the most non-trivial way. Startup founders usually hide in "caves" to avoid distractions when starting a project. We will work in places where no distractions exist. If you are ready for a new experience beyond your desk, read on.
What we will build:
We will build a product that solves real problems, has a market, matters to both of us, can scale, and is able to generate revenues.
Option A: we go with one of your best ideas. I'll apply my design & marketing skills to make it look and feel awesome
Option B: we go with one of my best ideas with your input. I have a few to choose from, depending on your interests & coding experience. I believe smart people with aligned vision can always find a valid problem to solve.
Expected outcomes after 45 days:
After 45 days we shall have MVP we love & want to develop further. It should have strong monetization potential & be of interest to angel investors.
My skills & interests:
I'm a "swiss-knife" for business development and a marketing ninja with 10+ years of experience in UX, copywriting, naming, webdesign, sales and a bunch of other boring things developers usually don't really care of :)
Interested in building products related to workflow collaboration, AI, lingusitics, kidtech, agriculture, renewables, games.
What you might want to know:
- I have a flat in the center of the city where we can live and work. My family is away on holidays for the entire period.
- I'll be 100% focused on the project.
- I have a 4x4 pickup packed with tents, sleeping bags, etc that can take us places.
- I'll try to find some volunteers to help around for outdoor coding sessions.
- Residents of certain countries don't need a visa to stay in Kazakhstan.
Timeframe:
- MVP: 15 June - 30 August (having a limit works best).
- 1st week is the "idea stage", finding what we want to build.
- Coding in cool places in 500km vicinity of Almaty + in the city;
- In mid August we will travel to Issyk-Kul lake (Kyrgyzstan) and work there for a week. Here's what the place looks like: http://odvor.club/
Few facts about Almaty:
- biggest city in Kazakhstan (former capital), home to a multinational community;
- amazing nature with mountains & deserts next to each other. Perfect for MTB rides;
- nice outdoor city events in the summer;
- home to many expats & safest place in Central Asia.
