Where can a beginner start learning all the web development stacks and latest trends?

I am at a loss as to where to start coding as I learn ecmascript6. I'm trying to develop a MERN app (Mongo, Express, React and Node) and im getting along with react but I really don't know how do I call express for routing between components and how to create a database in Mongo as well as connect to it in my app and start reading and writing info. I know I should google there's so much info out there and tutorials and boilerplate projects.

Could someone provide me some links to learn the very basics? Thanks.
