There are the following (in no order)

  1. Official Guide

  2. Fullstack.io book

  3. Lynda.com

  4. Pluralsight

  5. Egghead.io

  6. Treehouse (React Path)

  7. Manning (React in Motion videos and React in Action book and others)

  8. Taylor McGinnis

  9. Stephen Grider courses at Udemy

  10. Maximilian Schwarzmüller courses at Udemy (which are too lengthy)

  11. React courses at LiveLessons

  12. Courses by Wes Bos

  13. Course and books by Packt (some are mirror of Udemy's courses)

  14. SurviveJs React Book (free)

  15. Tons of tutorials at YouTube

  16. Books at LeanPub

  17. And hundreds of more...

Each of the above courses / books looks great when the intro for it is read / watched. But how can one decide which one of these is the best, and which one will be the best return for the time spent. The problem is not the cost for these resources, but the time a tutorial requires. For example the Maximilian's course at Udemy is 39.5 hours long.

Another problem with these resources is that every tutorial repeats concepts taught by another tutorial.

So I wish the following two of my questions were answered.

  1. Which of these resources will be enough for a starter in React to grasp enough of react to be productive in it.
  1. Which of these resources is complete in itself (no matter how long it is), so that if someone finishes that resource completely, she/he learns almost everything about React.
