Why did I stop using Chrome?

brave_chrome.jpg Chrome being the most used browser on earth is powered and maintained by Google. It is through which google makes most of its revenue. The number stands around 256B alone in 2021.

All the ads are designed in such a way that the target niche audience is attracted towards it and finally becomes its paying customer. Now, I am not saying that I am against advertisements. My problem is that Google is making us biased towards a particular product and leaving us with no choice to think about other competitive products.

Suppose, I want to buy a domain hosting and I search in Google for the best domain hosting services. Google ranks websites based on SEO and adwords. If company X ranks first and company Y ranks second. Based on my choice I will choose either one of them. Most of the people go with the first option though. Things do not stop here, after I click on X, google algorithm keeps track of it.

If I delay purchasing the hosting services, the company(X) ad hops in wherever I go. Suppose I start watching youtube, ads related to company X come in, same with my browsing too. Our human psychology always sticks to what we remember, and in this case what we remember a lot is what google wants us to remember using their algorithm. Here we lack our choice to choose what we want.

This is the reason why I stopped using chrome!

You might be thinking, how am I able to sustain myself without using google?

The option is Brave, It's a browser created by Brendan Eich, the same person who is responsible for building Mozilla.

Why brave? Brave browser is designed in such a way that it blocks all the ads, which reduces the way google is trying to bias us up to some extent.

It's been a few years since I have been using Brave, so I recommend everyone to check out Brave browser. They are now coming up with a token (bat) which we can use to give content creators.

This is my first post about something that I have experienced, Pls leave a comment if you like it!
