I hate these types of questions, and I usually refrain from answering, let alone asking them. However, Google’s <a target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer' href="https://www.technotification.com/2017/10/kotlin-to-replace-java.html">recent announcement</a> made me think.
I know from personal experience that there are big companies out there who use Java for a lot of projects, be it internal or marketed. But I also read a lot of articles stating “Java is widely used only because of Android”.
With all the security fuss and hate Java receives, I really wonder if this change will affect Java. What do you think?
