Andres Gesteira

Andres Gesteira is a Lead Frontend Engineer who found his way into software through an unconventional path. Originally trained in audiovisual communication and television production, he spent over a decade working in broadcast media, producing classical music concerts while also pursuing his passion for music as a trained piano teacher. After transitioning into software engineering, Andres discovered Angular early in its evolution and has been building with it ever since. Over the years, he has worked on everything from startup products to large-scale enterprise applications, growing from frontend developer to architect and technical leader while helping teams build scalable, maintainable web applications. Today, Andres is passionate about modern frontend architecture, Angular, AI-assisted development, and specification-driven engineering. He enjoys sharing practical lessons drawn from years of building real-world applications and helping teams write better software. Outside of coding, Andres has never lost his love for cinema, photography, and discovering great food wherever he travels.
