About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Amy. My professional background goes something like this:
front end developer for Sears, Kmart, etc. except that at the time, I was called a FED without using hardly ANY javascript
email developer at WebMD
several small places where I wore all the hats (designer, developer for both website and email) Again, mostly just html and css and barely any javascript
Email developer at Constant Contact
Email Template Developer on the Product Team at Constant Contact. Learned a lot. Used git, jira, agile/scrum, sublime text and worked with mustache templating, Grunt, etc. but for code, still just HTML and CSS.
Got laid off from CTCT along with 200 others. Realized that I REALLY needed to learn Javascript. Started learning through apps, books, courses online, etc.
Took a job as an HTML Developer at Harvard mostly just because I needed a job even though what I really wanted is to be a Front End Developer using my new JS skills.
_ still working every day to improve my JS, also learning about ES6 and react. Loving it and wishing I was doing it on the job. Not sure if I'm ready yet though, so still learning every day.
That's it. I'm here to learn from those who are already where I want to be.
