Work in a comfortable place
A clean desk and a soft chair are the first things you need to worry about. Don't work in bed - this place makes you drowsy and makes you distracted. But if your homework is boring, you can fall asleep at your desk, too. So ask your parents to make a bright light in the room - that way you won't get bored, and you'll save your eyesight.
Make a homework plan for each day
Instead of grabbing the first book you can find and doing your homework, plan ahead. There are several ways to help you make a plan for your homework. Decide how much time you can spend on your homework in total. Then make a list of all the assignments you need to complete. Think about how long each of them will take. Then move strictly along the list, crossing off assignments as you complete them.
After you finish your homework, do something enjoyable
This works as a reward and motivation to finish your work sooner. Plan to go to a friend's house, play your favorite computer game, eat something delicious. When you remember that there is a pleasant activity waiting for you after you do your homework, it motivates you to work faster and more efficiently.
Don't forget to eat and drink water
While working on assignments, snack on light, healthy foods and drink plenty of water to energize your brain and body. Sodas and chips are better left for a meeting with friends, but green tea, fruit or cereal bars are good options for snacking during class. Eat in the kitchen, not at your notebooks and books, so you won't ruin your homework.
You won't get your work done faster if you sit at it for hours without rest. Every 25 minutes or so take a break for five minutes to walk around, stretch and give your mind and body a chance to rest.
