This question is very geographically specific, so please forgive if this does not apply to you at all but I'm just trying to use all of my resources here. I'm trying to make a major career change from Music and Education/Education admin to coding. I've been studyong code for the last year ish. While i've been working full time im education admin i feel that i've still made good progress, and i know now that my greatest interests lie in either data science or backend fumctionality and/or db admin. However, die to the difficulties of life in Boston (SO expensive) I'm about to move to Seattle. Does anyone know of any US Government or Washington State funding programs that I can take advantage of im order to either accelerate my learning or IDEALLY intern or get on-the-job training in any sort of back-end field? I have a great list of free resources that I use but i still need to eat and pay rent, and i would love to get ANY practical experience that I could. Please let me know if you have any ideas!
TL;DR Looking for US govt or washington state funding to study or train in any IT or (ideally) backend or data science field.
