I am currently working on obtaining my masters in instructional design and technology with the focus on design. Any tips are appreciated!
You say you are looking to leave education. I would reconsider that. Your master in design and technology would be valuable if you want a job in tech. :)
Not sure if that was helpful. If you want more tips, could you please share want kind of tips you are looking for? What problems do you see joining the tech world?

teacher gone grad student hoping to go web designer
I guess I did not word that very well, looking back! :) I am new to this whole forum thing.
I am finishing up my last month or so of teaching. I began my grad school journey in hopes to leave the classroom, not necessarily education as a whole. The program sort of fell into my lap and hit a lot of the things I am wanting to learn. I am taking or will be taking classes on web and graphic design. I am hoping to use my skill set to enter something along the web and graphic design side of things versus instructional design, the more I learn.
I do know a masters is not necessarily something I need to be successful in the tech world, however, I thought it would give me experience in something outside of education...if that makes sense! :)
I guess my question is... do you have any suggestions on how to make that move and what to look for in terms of jobs. I do not have many friends in this industry so I am sort of figuring all this out as I go. Any advise is appreciated!
