Most of the challenge with web apps doesn’t feel like building them anymore, it’s figuring out how people consistently discover and come back to them.
Unlike mobile, where app stores naturally handle distribution, web apps are scattered across links, tweets, and search results. There’s no real place people go to intentionally browse or collect them.
I’ve been exploring this idea a bit and found myself looking into concepts like unstore, which try to frame web apps in a more store-like way.
Not entirely sure if this is solving a real gap or just reframing something that already exists in a different form, but it does raise an interesting question around how discovery on the web should evolve.
How are you approaching distribution when building for the browser?
