Hey 🆒 thx for the q! begin.com is built entirely on AWS with JavaScript using arc.codes all the way through. We also have an iOS client which is Swift and some webby tech.
API Gateway for http endpoints, SNS for pub/sub, Lambda for all the business logic and DynamoDB for the database. (We also use Cloudfront, S3, Route53 and I'm probably missing more!)
