Touch typing is a style of typing without looking. Are you familiar with it? or do you have your own technique?
Yeah I type "blindly".
I think it's not really something to think about, you pick it up automatically after a while.
Typing speed has some effect on coding speed, but not that much. Typing twice as fast wouldn't make you twice as productive, not anywhere near that. But it does help some.
Additionally, hotkeys are also useful to learn. You can't really develop muscle-memory for navigating the GUI with a mouse, but you can and will for hotkeys.
I'm a little bit confused, do you mean as Touch typing as keyboard or am I out of date haha? Would of thought every programmer would touch type, its something you naturally pick up?

At Uni one day I decided to paint all my keyboard keys black. Took me two days to painfully learn where each letter and symbol was, but never look back (or down anymore!)
