Microsoft announced a new browser last week codenamed "Spartan".
Here are some of the important enhancements.
- It's powered by a new rendering engine called EdgeHTML.dll. Windows 10 has it integrated already.
- No more VBScript.
- No document modes.
- Removed remnants like X-UA-Compatible, attachEvent and currentStyle.
- More support for HTML5 and CSS3.
- Flexbox comes to life in IE.
- Preserv3D, Web Audio, Touch Events, Media Capture API, Content Security Policy and HTTP/2 are supported.
- Sopport for ES6.
What are your opinions about this browser? Is it the beginning of a new Internet era free of IE Compatibilities?
