Hi 👋

Awesome work on Firebase and Cloud Firestore. We use Firestore at Hashnode for saving and sharing article drafts. It has been working great so far. I noticed that there is a dedicated backup tab for Firebase which makes it easy to back up the data. However, there is no easy way to back up data on Firestore. Is it in the roadmap, or maybe I am missing something 🤔?

This is one of the top requests for Firestore and we agree, it's super important. Backups are absolutely on the roadmap for Firestore, although we can't share a timeline. Right now the closest thing is managed export/import which can help provide peace of mind but definitely has limitations.

Hey Sandeep! As I see you don't really use any mobile features/sdk's of firebase, any specific reason for choosing Firestore in Native mode rather than Datastore mode? As later seems to be better for your usecases.
