Post photos! What do you carry with yourself everyday to work?
1- Laptop/charger/mouse/keyboard/data-cables.
2- Mobile charger/ Pen/ white Marker/ Diary/ Paste it notes.
3- Headphones/Snack-box/water bottle/
4- Some paper of my bike.
I’m on holiday, thus, far from my bag right now, so no photos, but here’s a list. I’m a road warrior, so expect my full office being there.
It’s a Samsonite backpack with a separate pocket for my notebook.
It’s a Lenovo Yoga 510. It’s not too big, fits in The Bag perfectly, easy to use both as a notebook and as a tablet. Just perfect (except the hard drive. I really want to switch to SSD soon.)
I use a <s>Rapoo E9080</s> AUKEY 88 key mechanic keyboard (my Rapoo broke, literally), a perfect keyboard (for me) when it comes to usability and portability. I also own a Logitech Marble trackball, which is one of the best pointing devices I ever used.
No, not the Android/iOS/Windows one, but a drawing tablet. It’s a Wacom Bamboo Touch, and it’s awesome when I have to draw diagrams, or just want to jot something down.
One of them is actually a pen; it’s a no-name drive of 4GB. Another one is a Kingston 8GB drive, mostly used to create OS installers.
The third one is an 8GB IronKey. It’s an encrypted drive with military-grade physical and software protection. I use this to store/transfer sensitive data.
I use this on different sites that support it, like GitLab, GitHub, Google, and Facebook. It’s an extra layer of protection that is still convenient enough to use.
For my notebook and for my phone.
Should my notebook run out of power, I can continue working on my phone, for which I have a 10 000 mAh powerbank, enough to charge my phone about three times.
HDMI for monitors, USB On-The-Go to connect my mouse or keyboard to my phone, and replacement charger cables.
Sometimes I enjoy writing and sketching in an offline manner. It helps relaxing my hands and my mind after longer coding streaks.
I own an Amazon Kindle Touch, full of novels of many kind. I hardly ever put anything related to my job there. I use it on longer train rides, or while commuting if I don’t have work to do.
Although I eat many types of food, I enjoy eating Japanese and Chinese food in a more authentic way. Thus, I carry around my metal chopsticks everywhere.
Because you can never know when you will meet a new potential client.
I don’t always have these in my bag, only when I travel for longer periods of time. My bag has plenty of space for toothbrush, towel, extra socks, and all the like. If I go for more than two days, I can spare my keyboard and mouse so I can pack more.
That sums it up pretty well. Enjoy travelling!
I have been on the road for 2 years, that would be way too personal 😛
Don't really carry a bag anymore but when I go to vendor fairs or on vacation, my Oakley bag carries everything - laptop, iPad, power and adaptors. Love this bag, haven't found anything like it since - have had it for almost 10 years I think.

Otherwise, the usual in my pockets - keys, wallet, Zippo and phone and a 13 inch MBP and I'm on my way to Starbucks.

This really has nothing to do with programming. But for a while, I had a kind of hobby (/obsession) with collecting as many potentially useful things as possible in my bag (useful for me or others). It had to be comfortable to carry though, so I had to take size and weight into account.
Things like a presentation pointer/remote, waterless stain remover, all kinds of chargers, earbuds, plastic bags, painkillers, bicycle lights, hairgel, compact snacks and lots more...
