What's your story? Why and how did you become a web developer?
I have a degree in English and was hating the jobs that I was getting. For Maker Faire one year, I helped my husband do the python programming for his robot because I was interested in checking out what programming was all about. I decided to go back to school for programming to help me get into the field. I chose a school that required an internship since I saw that as the best way to get started.
I took a front end development class as an elective and enjoyed it, and by chance I ended up finding my own front end development internship. I found out I was pregnant soon after I started school, and when I had my little boy, I quit my job at the law firm to focus on school. When my son was 10 months old, my internship started. After the internship was over with, I was offered a job. A few months later, unexpectedly, I had an opportunity come along somewhere where my skillset would improve greatly and I worked there for 2 1/2 years. Now, I'm just trying to figure out where my skills and the things I'm passionate about fit into the changing web development atmosphere.
I started at my home, watching my step father making some fix in the computer, and mounting new PC. I started studying about the computer, mounting, basic network and a bit of programming and little to little become more interested in the web development world, with PHP and MySQL, after the first course I make another about developing and became a web developer :)

Hmm.. Interesting.. :)
TBH, I wanted to earn money online! I guess that's how most of us started when we were in colleges.
I learned basics of HTML, CSS and JS and practised cloning websites like Yahoo, Reddit, etc. Soon, I became members of then popular forums like DigitalPoint, Warrior Forum, etc.
I earned points/karma by burning my a** day and night. Bought two iPads (I was a crazy Apple fan boy) ;)
Later, I went to Freelancer and got frustrated. Joined a company after graduation and now doing a respected job! #EasyMoney
Well, I still miss my freelancing days! ๐ Thanks for asking this question. Reminded me of my early days.
