This is just general distraction and not useful to you. Turn off your notifications while developing and sit there, select a task and then get it done. If you really must check your social media accounts for validation and an endorphin rush then do it after you have completed the task - not before and not during.
Stop yourself from becoming addicted to social media - create a strong mindset that will allow you to stay focused and disciplined to do the thing which you set out to do. The task, and thus the app, will never be completed otherwise and one would just wonder why one can never complete something.
Some social media is good - a lot is bad. Take it in moderation. It can destroy your mind, becoming a detriment to the attention span through meaningless and shallow distractions which can cause depression and other mental problems.
Not only will reducing social media time aid you in your ability to develop effectively and efficiently but also provide you with the tools of focus and discipline in other areas of your life.
Hope this helps.
Look at this talk - it looks at the large problem as a whole but the bit about social media is in there - and this talk can apply to everyone.
