So, what about Hashnode? How can we describe it?
that right Hashnode for me a developer Facebook :D with folks that has the same passion as me !
Hashnode is a #1 platform for developers by developers.
Hashnode has become a community of a like-minded developers, a place where great engineers may meet, talk, share their life experience, where people may ask sensitive questions, lose their fear, get courage, receive advices, feedback and support, place where everyone can teach and learn, place where dreams might become true.
I actually started answering questions on Quora before I found Hashnode. Thanks to Taylor Otwell and due to limited time I dropped Quora at all. Well, Hashnode is better for this specific topic and has insane ease of use.
For me, Hashnode is a
for developers, software engineers, computer scientists, etc. and everyone striving to be one of those :)
That's why I prefer questions which do not have a single answer, but can be discussed. I miss the social factor on the platform a little bit, but afaik, Team Hashnode is working on new features and then there are certain side-channels as well :)
I agree with Sergio. Since Hashnode aims to be a conversational community platform to me it's basically Facebook for developers without the annoying food and cat pictures.
It goes even further, at least sometimes, I think my input adds some value :). It's less voyeuristic and more topic related.
I mainly have facebook so certain friends can create birthday-events but hashnode I enjoy. At least till now :P
So topic related - developer - social network / aggregator would be my rough description.
Hashnode for me is the facebook for developers more or less. A place to share interesting things, make questions and write some interesting articles and get in touch with interesting people.

Simply put, Hashnode is a place where people write articles and share their experiences; it’s more like a blog with discussions than a typical social network. You can read at your own pace and find useful insights on the topic. And when it comes to platforms with a similar vibe but from a more practical perspective, people sometimes mention Discord and options like Discord accounts for sale where the focus isn’t on articles but on specific solutions and tools for work
