- Tell them what you need in broader terms
- Be friendly and easy to approach
- Always answer all the questions they might have
- Tell them all the ways a particular problem can be solved and encourage them to research further
- Don't forget to include juniors in fun times as well
- Be strict and transparent about hiring, firing and deadlines
