I am experimenting hosting with Azure(with the mindset of moving all production apps off Heroku) and I find it hard to incorporate MongoDB from a Resource.
What exactly do you mean when you say "incorporate MongoDB from a resource"? Are you using Resource Manager deployment? I always use Classic Deployment model where I just create a Linux VM of my choice, add it to a resource group and install MongoDB in that.
