I've been using CSS letter-spacing since long and just recently came across font-kerning property.
Since both(kind of) aim at fixing the same thing, How exactly is font-kerning property different from letter-spacing?
Also, While the support for font-kerning isn't as good as letter-spacing, should it be used

Kerning (mortising) adjusts the space between individual letter forms, while tracking (letter-spacing) adjusts spacing uniformly over a range of characters.
