How to start learning Data Structures and Algorithms for non CS People?

I have seen the Google's recommendations for CS subjects but I want to know advices from people at Hashnode. I appreciate your help.

What do I do?

Work through Introduction to Algorithms, or "CLRS" for short. It's a great foundation.
Find algo. problems on the internet (careercup has a crowd-sourced question set that is 80% excellent, 20% not useful). Solve 100 of them.
