Even if I still love PHP, Symfony and their ecosystem, this is a concern that I am starting to have. Symfony still allows me to design great web applications and I really like how the framework has evolved, especially with Symfony 4 (which is much more lightweight by default).
But still, I am seeing a lot of companies and developers moving to (or landing directly in for the youngest) the Javascript community (I mean Node, as I am talking of the backend side) and there are a few companies which don't understand the use of Symfony and PHP nowadays. Maybe because of less hype, and whether we like it or not it seems like hype has to be taken into account.
Let's hope it is just a personal impression and that I am wrong :)
