If you choose Django for creating an e commerce website than in that case you have many good alternatives and one them is Magento 2 , lots videos and tutorials are available in the same .

Magento have large community you can check on Stack overflow as well.

For Django if you are not willing to purchase some course than invest some time with the documentation they provide , yes it's true that some time it's difficult to understand the core documents.

I will recommend php for website development rather than django. You can find resources on w3schools.com or practice on codecademy.com.All the best,happy coding.

While it is certainly best to have an up-to-date tutorial, Django didn't change that much, even in version 2.0. If the tutorial is a few versions old, I feel like it'll still be useful in many cases.

Read the documentation it's free,I know it's a bit inconvinient but it is much better than video tutorials.
