They would've never done it because of the license .... react had this clause from the beginning so nothing really changed. If they sue each other for patents that's only possible consequence. But the question is -> is it legal to revoke an open source license ? I guess this will be decided in the courts and this is about legal fees .....
lets just say in my opinion google is way to sophisticated to fall in this "we don't read legal agreements"-trap
