There are many things we are doing different from SO and other Q&A forums.
SO is doing a great job in solving bugs and errors. Here, we are encouraging developers to ask subjective and opinion based questions. Imagine beginner/intermediate developers - they don't encounter bugs always. They need suggestions and opinions before starting to learn new technologies.
Also, we have support for Codepen, GitHub and YouTube etc. This will give them options to showcase what they have done and take feedback. I don't think social networking is going to be the focus of SO/Quora.
You can imagine Hashnode as a daily destination for opinions, news and networking among developers.
